Hi everyone!

I stumbled in this grassroots web movement for our favorite mainstay item in every Filipino CR (or bathroom, toilet, john, loo-- depending on which part of the world you are in). Our quintessential tabo.

Back in our old house where I grew up, a tabo was a way of life. The tabo and "timba" (pail or bucket) went hand in hand to carry water around the house from a single water source (the "poso" or water pump).

Fast forward to the 21st century-- so I thought, why not a designer tabo in the league of Philippe Starck, Umbra, Rashid, etc. Has anyone seen a world-class tabo?
Maybe there are plastic maker tycoons around who'd like to embark on the project?

Haven't seen a designer tabo, even though it might exist. But I'm workin' on one. I'll let you all know when I'm done =)

been looking for one, but haven't been successful yet. probably 'cos i don't go to the designer places to look for a designer tabo. hmmm...that's an idea!

Bet you a Paul Smith Tabo would sell like hot cakes. Just add those colorful horizontal lines and Voila!

i would appreciate a designer tabo (and likely photograph it in marikina shoe expo) but i wouldnt buy one. BUT i would deffo try to sell overpriced designer tabos to unsuspecting pretentionistas. hehe. ;)
